Our Story
Unrivalled Provenance
A journey towards perfection
As with any endeavour, perfection is never truly achievable. Thus, it is the pursuit of it that empowers our people to make new strides each day towards this ever-elusive destination.

A journey towards perfection
Pardoo has spent the better part of the last ten years pioneering the growth of tropical pasture in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Emeritus Professor Kevin Bell has led the charge towards establishing a research programme for optimal pasture growth, guaranteeing our Wagyu the most nutritious feed.
This research is ongoing and continues to inform numerous refinements of our cattle’s nutrition regimen, with the benefits of this process evident in the Wagyu itself.
Pivot Precinct, Pardoo Station, Western Australia
“Pardoo is being regarded as the prime source of information for those considering pasture and fodder projects in the north of Australia, an indication that our research is meaningful and practical… Seeing agricultural and animal science working together in a truly novel environment is truly unique, and a privilege not experienced by many.”

The Harvest
Precision Pasture for Wagyu
With this knowledge, our Pasture team who live on Station work tirelessly to produce the most nutritionally rich vegetarian diet, allowing our Wagyu cattle the best possible foundation upon which to thrive.
It is now accepted that the first six months of a Wagyu animal’s life is paramount in their ability to accede to their full potential; and this remains top of mind for our Pasture Managers at Pardoo Station.
It is a little-understood reality that a few days late can mean the difference between a bountiful harvest and a fruitless one… Day by day and hour by hour, our Pasture team patiently wait to harvest each crop at precisely the best possible moment. A feat unachievable without a harmonious team working in almost seamless synchrony.
